As the annual banquet and fundraiser for Safari Club International – Central Washington Chapter draws near, it is time to reach out and thank our past Gold Sponsors and encourage new folks to join the ranks of the Gold Sponsors.
Gold Sponsors help make the banquet a success each year. By acting as a sponsor, your generosity helps ensure that the Central Washington Chapter can continue to support the hunting, shooting, and wildlife conservation efforts in Washington, across the country and around the world.
This year, as many of you know, we lost two of the founding members of the Central Washington Chapter – Karl Markin and Bob Hall. Karl and Bob were not only avid hunters, but they were both avid supporters of SCI’s mission and avid supporters of our local chapter through their work on various projects and their support of the banquet by being Gold Sponsors.
This year there will be a special waterfowl themed hat to honor Karl and Bob. Every Gold Sponsor will receive the hat and have their name entered to be drawn for a Gold Sponsor prize. One name will be drawn for every 5 Gold Sponsors at this year’s banquet.
I would like to challenge chapter members and banquet attendees this year to see if we can generate 50 Gold Sponsors. It would be a fitting tribute to two men who contributed so much to our sport over the years. Your $250 commitment as a Gold Sponsor for the 2019 banquet speaks volumes and means so much to the future of hunting in Washington and around the world.
There will also be an opportunity to bid on several trophies from Bob’s collection that his family has graciously donated to the chapter as a way to continue their support of our fundraising efforts.
I hope you’ll join me in writing your $250 check today and mailing it in to the office before the banquet. I’d love to see 50 or more special edition hats roaming the floor at the banquet.
Thanks for your support and your commitment to hunting and wildlife in Central Washington.
